The Coach Approach
Most people have tried to change their diet, exercise, or lifestyle habits at some point in time or another. Maybe you've tried to quit smoking, or started a gym membership, or swore off of sugar and alcohol on January 1st. At some point even excellent intentions and mountains of motivation tapers off, when life gets busy and stressful or unexpected situations knock us off track. It can be frustrating and embarassing and lead to a sense of hopelessness that we can ever truly change.

This is where a coach may be exactly the ticket to getting past that bump in the road and moving forward into new beginnings. Every "failure" offers a host of learning opportunities that you can use to make a stronger effort. Every life experience gives you skills and tools you can fall back on when motivation runs low. Every person has an army of character strengths at their disposal that they likely aren't even aware of, and learning to focus on those strengths can help you quiet that inner critic and boost your confidence towards growth and success.

A health coach is not like a sport coach. No yelling, shaming, pep talking or artificial mood boosting here. Just a real, open, honest look at who you are, where you want to go, and learning how to take the steps to get there. As a client it is you who are doing the work to learn HOW to change - and that's a skill you can use across any challenge or dream you choose to take on and make a reality. As a coach, I am here to help you see the positive aspects you already have, help you learn to read the "roadmap" of making lifetime changes, and walk with you as you develop skills and successes that you will build on for the rest of your life.
